I think I would prefer to see De using these keys to play with us.

There's already a number of us playing in the open beta on rekham playing the spanish faction. Once pre-orders go live, we put out an annoucement for where we're playing.

Why are there two different keys? Did De pre-order? I could use a pre-order key. And in exchange if De washes the sand out of his vagina and plays with us I will hook him up in kind with new key.

P.S. De, alot of us really do miss you, regardless of how you've changed. Your real friends wont judge you given what you've been through, and while we have some true jackasses around here, there are some who do really consider you a friend (myself included).

The first one is for limited items like a parot and weapons. The second one allows you to play for 2weeks after the game goes live but before general public is allowed to join. Part of the pre-order package.

As for joining you, well one, the game just isn't interesting for me. ya i who can put rocks in a box for hours on end, find this game lacking... go figure. Baught the keys before getting into the beta.

guys i'm touched really, but my withdrawl wasn't in responce to anyone or anything regarding BA.

I meet a woman in a support group who had a minor stroke at 35. She often takes minutes to form a single sentance. We got to talking and i was mentioning that i didn't feel as capiable as i once did, that i didn't think ppl could depend on me to come through in the same ways and how I had become hypersensitive to friends reponces that might show a lessening of esteem as a result. In a very halting and painful conversation she explained how it is for her. How her family and friends seemed to change their relationship to her based on her inpediment. She told me how much depression and hurt that caused but also how it made her examin why they changed (She was a pediatric doctor before).

It was her oppinion that becuse the way you relate and the level that you relate has been inpeded that changes the very nature of the relationship dynamic. As a result you now occupy a differant role or position within the social hierarchy. To think of it as being a higher or lower position is not accurate cuz that denotes your perspectives. Its like a DD dealer thinking a cleric is less valuable. The problem comes in with the transistion from one role to another. Both the group(family/spouse/work enviroment etc) as a whole and the person who was limited have to come to grips with not only why but how the dynamic has changed. The group feels that the person may be lacking while the person feels the group isn't mindfull of the true lose that person feels. let me be clear and say that i don't believe that anyone in BA has shown such but it is agood point and one worth thinking about.

anyway, it the process of changing that can cause additional pain for the person and if not careful lead to irrevocable dmg to the relationships once enjoyed. This woman told me how part of the healing process for her was seperating herself from her family and letting the memory of who she used to be die down and let the 'group' get used to thinking of her in a new 'limited' way. The family ofcorse decided that she was just throughing a pitty party but that is a differant story. Once she did re-establish contact all of the older assumtions and expectations had changed and the family was able to accept her without the unthinking patronations(agian not something i've suffered from BA /smile) but also and more inportantly, she was able to accept that she wasn't the wittiest conversationalist, and that ppl didn't want to know how her day was and if she had treated any sad cases. In the end if more about being proactive with her situation then protecting herself from the group.

Frankly, everything she said made perfect sence to me. To be perfectly honest i'm trying it on BA before i pull a disappearing act on my family. I'm not married and never have been. I don't have any children. My family sees me more as a project then a person. Part of this is establishing that i will be ultimately fine without outside help even if i have to write down that my keys are in my pocket. And why i put them there. Bit like greasing the rail road tracks. I'll lose my train of thought and i'll be lost till something clicks then i'm off 100mph. Like what you are going to tell me everyone experances, just to the nth degree more so. Regardless, i'm not leaving somuch as not being active. I enjoy reading the forums and listening to you and look forward to hearing bout the next great endevor.

on a seperate note, I have to say it is alittle bizarre that i can sit and write this out with single minded focus and not realize that it is almost 99degrees in here cuz i forgot to turn off the heater. Once i did realize that, i got up to turn it off and forget to hit 'submit' for two days.

despite the fact that i walked by the computer repeatedly and said, 'oh you need to hit submit.'

Thank you for the post, it explained a lot (for me anyways) I can understand where you are coming from and don't have to worry (because I did /grin). I can't thnk of a better test group than BA - we aren't going anywere and will be glad of it when we get to see you in a game again.

If you do decide to separate yourself from your family....you may want to tell them what you said above - I know when you first separated from us I was very worried and I can only think that your family members will be moreso. If they understand why, they may not worry as much

I suppose I'll have to be the statistical outlier here, sine honestly I could give a f*ck less how you've changed and will pretty much treat you the same regardless. On a side note, I badly broke a finger and had to have surgery. (big deal right?) My point is ive been on alot of perkacet and it messes with my head alot. I wonder if your on meds and that could be a big part of things for you.
