The Path of Travian
Before reading this document, you should have already read The Path of Bellum Aeternus.
Expectations
We have fairly high expectations for the maturity of our players. As such, we don't want there to be any question about what is acceptable behavior.
We want the name "Bellum Aeternus" and our members to be known for playing fair and dealing with others with respect.
Our play style is tightly coordinated. We put emphasis on communicating, and working as a team. Solo players will not find that Bellum Aeternus is right for them.
Cheating, including using UI-modifying scripts or sharing passwords, is not acceptable. So is baiting others to cheat, such as asking others to log in for them.
Language Policy
We want everyone to be comfortable here, and if foul language is making anyone uneasy... it doesn't belong. An occasional blurt out is tolerated but anything derogatory does not work, whether directed at an enemy or a friend. Recall that in-game, including village names, account names, in-game mails, and even your password in-game are monitored by multihunters (travian employees and volunteer referees) and can result in account loss.
Recruitment
Candidates
Bellum Aeternus is dedicated to achieving that “next level” of game-play through superior organization and tactics. BA: Travian is looking for quality players that wish to partake in a structured, team-oriented environment. We look for various traits such as: maturity, quality, respect, reputation, ability to handle group dynamics, willingness to learn, and fit with the "BA Way." We are not a casual alliance nor do we consider ourselves to be elite and hardcore . Bellum Aeternus is a goal-oriented alliance that uses tactics, advanced team play, dedication and a friendly atmosphere to achieve more.
If you seek that style of game play and agree with The Path of Bellum Aeternus & The Path of Travian, you may be right for us. There are two processes than can lead to an invite into the guild.

Alliance Structure
There are two ranks in our Travian hierarchy - Officer and Member. Officers are listed in the "Officers of Travian" sticky in the members forum. While officers have a specialty, they can all be approached equally with any issue. Everybody who is not listed as an officer in the sticky are of the same rank. Note that, for security reasons, our in-game alliance description does not match the sticky. If you have a particular concern, please refer to the post for the appropriate individual.
Officers are selected based on the unanimous selection of sitting officers. Officers, when selected, will be chosen based on the length of their involvement with BA, their participation in the forums and in-game. If you are interested in becoming an officer, take on a needed role. Bellum Aeternus values self-starters.
Alliance Policies
Participation
All members are expected to read the forums and log-in daily. Members who go inactive without arranging a sitter ("Red Dot") will be removed from the alliance immediately. Members who regularly go "Yellow Dot" may be removed from the alliance.
You are strongly encourage to post and participate on the forums. Respond to officer questions quickly. Seek or give advice from other members. Share your knowledge.
Military Operations
The officer listed as our Centurion is the one who can post an official military action. Any call to arms posted by any other individual is a merely a suggestion. Only our Centurion can stand-down official operations.
All Bellum Aeternus members with two villages are expected to maintain a body of disposable troops for use by the Alliance.
Farming
Any player not in an alliance with whom we have a NAP or Confederacy can be farmed at will. However, all players are responsible to make sure their actions do not drag our alliance into a war.
If asked politely to stop, alliance members are asked to consider such polite and reasonable requests, while judging if the farm in question might pose a later threat to the alliance.
Respect
Players are asked to treat everybody playing Travian with respect and dignity. Each member is responsible for helping to maintain Bellum Aeternus's image within Travian. Members may be removed from Bellum Aeternus for violations of this policy.
Forum Communications
Our forum is our primary method of organizing. Our organization is our primary method of winning this game.
Reading the forum is required.
